Parent volunteers attended a morning tea in recognition of their efforts in the Uniform Shop last week. The Uniform Shop Committee hosted the morning tea, which was an opportunity to extend thanks to current volunteers while inviting new volunteers to get involved.

Over December and January, there were over 250 one-on-one appointments for new boys at the Uniform Shop. Committee co-convenors Georgina Ryan and Jane Eton said the shop depended on its volunteers to assist with helping new boys and parents, labelling, folding, sorting and restocking.

“Currently the Uniform Shop is looking for volunteers to assist with preparation for the annual stocktake,” Ms Ryan said. “Volunteers are welcome at any time during opening hours, even for half an hour. Please phone the Uniform Shop if you are able to assist on 9442 1716.”

Uniform Shop manager Chrissie Lidstone, who was a guest at the morning tea, said the shop could not manage without the support of its volunteers.
