Dr Robin Gray (former staff 1960-67) affectionately known as Wally died on Saturday 16 May in Melbourne. Robin had been Chemistry Master and ran the cadet unit at CCGS. Following his resignation, Robin moved to Melbourne where he remained involved in Christ Church old boys’ events by organising reunions for our Victorian Chapter. He always kept his connections with both the School and the old boys. He joined our Mitre (bequest) Society in 1997. Robin was an alumnus of Caulfield Grammar School (1941-1951) where he was School Captain and Dux. He was also a member of staff there from 1968 to 1985. A memorial service was held in the Chapel of St Paul at Caulfield Grammar with 300 in attendance. Representing Christ Church were: Peter Edwards (1961), Tom Flintoff (1962), Peter Marfleet (1963 – who flew from Perth), John Best (1965), Robin Rudyard (1965), Gavin Silbert (1966) and Lawrie Groom (1968).
