Bob McCarthy (1957) – member update 3
Published on: 16 April 2014
Bob McCarthy (1957), described as a ‘fishing legend’ in the Post Newspapers, was photographed recently with a sizeable fish after a few days of chasing salmon at Bornholm, between Albany and Denmark. Bob told the Post that in the good old days, he and his mates used to scale down the cliff with a rope to access the beach. However, on this occasion their fishing tour guide drove them down, set them up on the beach, filleted the fish and provided lunch! Bob landed some impressive salmon, along with some herring, skippy and a sizeable tarwhine.
