Cameron Ewers (2004) wrote to us about his experience in our Education Support Unit (also known as the Peter Moyes Centre) and his determination in business to donate directly to Downs Syndrome WA. He wrote: “While most people have been exercising their appetites, I have been spending my spare time preparing for the 2015 Karma Resorts Rottnest Channel Swim. In this instance, ‘slow and steady’ certainly will not win the race, however with a bit of luck, a fair breeze and some ‘pure’ determination, old school friend Charles Angliss (2004) and I are hoping to arrive in one piece in the early afternoon on Saturday 21 February as we complete our duo crossing. Inspired by the recent series on ABC TV’s The Dreamhouse, along with firsthand experience with the ESU at CCGS, we will be raising money for the Down Syndrome Association of Western Australia. To put our money where our mouth is, Pure Leasing Central will be matching donations dollar for dollar to help achieve our goal of $7000.” If you would like to donate directly to Cameron’s fundraising page via Everyday Hero, please click here.
