Class of 1961 lunch bestThis was another splendid day of fellowship with 14 of us enjoying a lunch by the sea and watching the changing weather as the fronts moved in. Thank you to Charles Pierce who brought his camera along and was responsible for the photographs. For those who were not there or who cannot remember the 14 starters, they were;

Terry Parker, Peter Illidge, Bob Meagher, Tony Wray, Jeff Colley, Bob Williams, Tony Carris, John Brazier, Peter Kerr, Doug Ranford, Don Stewart, Peter Wishart, Charles Pierce and Geoffrey Hick.

We also had a number of apologies from those unable to make it including;
Kingsley Scott, still working on the farm, seeding at the moment.
Mark Allison, late scratching with a clashing commitment.
Tom Hollingsworth, apologies but hopes to make it to Perth from Boyanup next time.
Ean Marshall, working on renovations to his Dunsborough digs.
Richard (Reg) Gawned, apologies from Moss Vale (NSW) and hopes to make it over for the December lunch.
Apologies also from Peter Edwards, Tim Campbell and Gary Smith who all sent their regards.

The relaxed and casual atmosphere of Clancy’s was enjoyed by all once again and it was good to see another successful roll up. Captain Terry Parker suggested a plan for nine holes of golf for those who wish to play on the morning of our September lunch. Tony Wray was back from three months in Spain where he completed an intensive course in Spanish. Several other tales of trips were undertaken and contemplated. Good to see JB back in great spirits. A select few adjourned to Doug Ranford’s for coffee and to enjoy Doug and Trish’s hospitality (thanks Doug). This has become a bit of a ritual, which is a pleasant way to spend the afternoon. Keep fit, healthy and happy and hope to see you in September.
