David Lamplugh (1971) has forwarded photographs of the ANZAC Day march held in Kellerberrin this year, marking 100 years since WWI. With only four veterans left in the district, the march is organised by the local Lions Club with David as MC for the past 11 years! Under a cloudy sky, heavy with rain, 250 people young and old gathered from Esperance, Borden, Perth and afar. The parade was led by a bagpiper, followed by Kellerberrin’s citizen of the year carrying the flag, and senior and junior members of the Fire Brigade and St John Ambulance. The veterans were driven to the service in a variety of vehicles including horse and cart, a model Ford and a Rugby car.
