Tutoring Opportunity
A number of parents request contact details for old boys who carry out tutoring of academic subjects in Year 7 to 12.
Should any old boy wish to place their name on a list of tutors who parents may contact, they are asked to send through their details, including name, contact number, current study/occupation and subjects of expertise, to Andrew Baird in the Old Boys’ Office on abaird@ccgs.wa.edu.au. These names will then be made available to parents who request a contact. The responsibility for checking credentials and ensuring a good ’fit’ remains with the parent – the Old Boys’ Association role in this is merely to provide a contact.
WA Cricket Association Umpires
The PSA requires cricket umpires for 2nd XI PSA games. The commitment would include approximate five Saturdays in Term 4 and six Saturdays in Term 1 from 10.00am until 6.00pm. Payment for the season would be hours based and total approximately $3 000. The job would suit players who have retired from grade cricket and can commit to the season. Careers breakfast leads to Work Experience
Rory Bett (Year 12) was keen to do work experience during the school holidays in the physiotherapy profession in preparation for his application for entry to study physiotherapy at Notre Dame. Old Boy Jon Warne (2004) offered to help at his practice in the CBD. Jon sent us a photo of Rory at work and said it was a pleasure having Rory at the clinic. Rory’s mum was thrilled too and thanked the Old Boys’ Association for providing the contact that made it all possible.
