Member updates – Mark Goddard

Mark Goddard (1989) is the General Manager of FIFA Transfer Matching System (FIFA TMS) and is currently leading its global strategy and operations. In 2008, Mark was tasked with realising a FIFA Congress decision to deliver a global solution for the international football transfer market. He developed, organised and led the formation of a purpose-built company to own, operate and deliver the first global sports transfer system. In 2013, the system tracked more than 12,300 international transfers with a total transfer compensation of $3.7 billion USD. Mark, who lives in Zurich, completed a double degree in Arts (Political Science/History) and Business (PR/Marketing and Management) at Curtin University. As an executive manager in the sports sector, he has developed a focus in global events since 2000 leading projects at the Sydney Olympics, FIFA World Cups (2002 and 2006) and more than 12 FIFA competitions. Mark was in Perth recently and took a wander around the School to see how things had changed with his dad Bill (1955).
