Yannick and Nick PhotoNick Van Leeuwen (2005) studied at the University of Western Australia before moving to China to learn Mandarin. After three years gaining fluency, Nick worked for a year with accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers. Yannick Spencer (2005) studied in both WA and France before moving to Melbourne with management consulting firm McKinsey & Company. Last year the two friends banded together to form Australian Natural Exports (australiannatural.co), a company dedicated to bringing the best Australian organic products to the Chinese market. The company currently focuses on wine and plans to expand to other products in the future. Nick now lives in Beijing and runs the company full-time and is thrilled to be able to use his Mandarin professionally. Yannick is temporarily based in the UK, where he is juggling running the Australian side of the business and completing a Masters of Public Policy at the University of Oxford. They would love to hear from any old boys with an interest in the wine business.
