Olly Brooke

Last we heard from Olly Brooke (2007) in 2013, he was about to attend the University Scholars Leadership Symposium in Manila, the Phillipines. After the symposium, Olly was selected as a Youth Ambassador for Humanitarian Affairs United Kingdom (HA), the organisation behind the annual symposium. He has since been promoting this year’s symposium in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and HA’s other programs through his networks. As an HA Youth Ambassador, Olly has a leadership role in the forthcoming symposium, helping to run the event and meeting with dignitaries. He is one of 1,000 delegates from around the world selected for the United Nation’s endorsed symposium, which will be focused on sustainable development challenges. Since completing a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) at Curtin University, Olly has spent the past three years volunteering with the Borderless Friendship Foundation in Northern Thailand as well as promoting the organisation’s programs and raising funds back in Australia. Over the past two years, he has also worked full-time as an operations officer with the Clontarf Foundation in both Karratha and Northam.
