Peter Leedman (1974) and Graeme Hankey (1974) reported that the ‘The Specialists’ had a terrific time sharing their music and loved seeing everyone up and dancing, enjoying the food, wine and great company at their fundraiser in August. There was serious reason for the night – the fight against cancer. The Harry Perkins Institute is passionate about its highly collaborative research program in cancer, which tackles some of the more intractable tumours (such as triple negative breast cancer, liver cancer, pancreatic cancer, head and neck cancer, metastatic melanoma and prostate cancer) with innovative approaches focused on making a global difference and improving outcomes.
Peter is now in training to prepare for the 200km MACA Ride to Conquer Cancer in October. Funds raised at ‘The Specialists’ gig will go to the Ride which funds cancer research at the Perkins. To learn more, click here.
