Richard O’Halloran (2009) has won the prestigious international Rhodes Scholarship for 2017. The scholarship provides the opportunity for Richard to pursue a MSc in Global Health Sciences and a Masters in Public Policy over two years at Oxford University. Richard follows in the footsteps of Andres Noe (2008) who won the Rhodes Scholarship last year after completing a Bachelor of Medical Science with Honours in obstetrics and gynaecology at UWA.
“I am really excited by the opportunity to pursue further study at Oxford in population health and medical research. Christ Church gave me so much support while at school to achieve my goals. In particular, the teachers are second to none and were great to learn from,” said Richard
Besides his academic achievements, Richard has coached the CCGS water polo teams for the last few years and captained the 2009 PSA premiership winning water polo team.
