- Father’s Day
The House Athletics Carnival was held last Friday in fantastic conditions. It was great to see so many students enjoying the opportunity to be involved for their House, either competing or helping manage year groups and assisting with other roles on the day. While it is all about participation and having fun, the day also provides an opportunity for our elite athletes to shine. Congratulations to Moyes on winning the carnival.
The CCGS Gift was run on Tuesday and once again saw fabulous running from all competitors from Years 5 to 12. It is always a very tight race with Will Gibson from Year 7 taking out the win.
This Sunday we celebrate Father’s Day, and I hope that the fathers and father figures in our community enjoy their day. We certainly don’t need a special day to be engaged and proactive in our children’s lives, but it is always good to put some time aside to reflect on the relationships we are building with our children. As a father I am looking forward to taking some time out from the busy week to celebrate this day with my children.
I have included a link here, provided through the Wynne Centre for Health and Wellbeing, celebrating the role of fathers.
