Travel smart and off-campus parking locations

Public transport and SmartRider cards

Special school buses: Transperth offers many special school bus service options. Go to Transperth Journey Planner or call 13 62 13. Please note there is a new bus service from Scarborough to Claremont. The use of a SmartRider travel card is encouraged – go to SmartRider card for specific information on student services. Senior School boys have a SmartRider section incorporated into their Christ Church ID card, which is given to them once they are enrolled at the School. Parents of Preparatory School boys should contact the Prep School on 9442 1666 to request a SmartRider. The first card issued is free of charge – subsequent replacement cards cost $10.00.

Christ Church/MLC Buses

Bus tickets can be purchased through Main Reception (cash payment) or the Christ Church Bookroom (Smartcard payment) at a cost of $44.00 for 20 tickets (Southern) or $10 for 20 tickets (Western).

City Beach/Floreat and Nedlands/Shenton Park/Subiaco Buses

A bus service is available for CCGS and MLC students to and from three locations: City Beach/Floreat and Nedlands/Shenton Park/Subiaco.

The information on bus routes, stops and tickets can be found here.

Southern Suburbs shuttle

Christ Church and MLC also offer a bus service for our students living in the southern suburbs. The timetable can be viewed here and the return timetable here.

Bicycles

Christ Church encourages boys to ride their bikes to school. Boys are required to put their bikes, which must be secured with a strong lock, in the bicycle racks within the school grounds. Parents and boys are also reminded that all cyclists must wear an approved helmet as a matter of law and safety. For information on cycle paths go to cycle map Fremantle to Perth

Parking

Onsite parking is strictly limited to short term visitors and staff only. Parents who drive their sons to school are encouraged to utilise nearby drop-off locations such as College Park, Claremont Quarter and adjacent streets, which allows boys to ‘walk a little way’. Doing this builds resilience, provides exercise and a chance to form friendships with other boys while also easing traffic congestion in and around the School during peak times. The drive-through pick up/drop off zone located inside the campus, is available for all families and particularly for families with younger students. Standing in this zone is not permitted.
