The week that’s been
It was great to see a strong turnout of parents at the Year 7 Sundowner & Camp Information session last Sunday afternoon. We learnt about the upcoming Kooringal camp and were well hosted for drinks by the Parents’ Association.
The House Arts competition began Thursday last week, and it was encouraging to see many of our students achieve success at a House level in chess, debating and public speaking.
COVID-19 has led to some school closures in the eastern states. Whilst we are hopeful that this does not occur at Christ Church we continue to plan for this possibility. On Friday this week I have arranged for our Year 10s to undertake their tutorial, Period 1 and 2 lessons virtually as a trial. Year 10 students who need to attend school that morning will be able to attend designated classrooms where they will still undertake the trial, using their device and headphones.
We are confident that in the event of a school closure we are well prepared to continue lessons for our Senior School students using virtual classroom technology.
