The week that’s been
I would like to welcome Ms Laura van Rijn (pronounced Ms van Ryan) into the acting School Marshal role for the remainder of this term. Duke of Edinburgh enquiries need to go to Mr Neil Saggers (nsaggers@ccgs.wa.edu.au).
We now have lunchtime activities available in the Marshal’s office, including Uno, Battleship, Jenga and normal cards, in addition to the ever popular table tennis paddles available for all students to borrow to challenge their mates in a match or game. It has been great to see tables of boys playing Uno and table tennis during this unseasonably warm June week.
A reminder to label all of your son’s uniform including shoes, socks and lunchboxes. A vast amount of lost property ends up in the Marshal’s office that cannot be returned right away as no name is labelled!
After-school pick up at MLC
Boys are not to wait for collection after school in the MLC carpark(s), or around the MLC buildings, before 3.30pm. Should you collect your son from MLC, we kindly request that boys remain on our campus until MLC classes are finished at 3.30pm to prevent any disturbance(s).
Upcoming events
Whilst we are still unable to host our normal Senior School Chapels, beginning in Week 8 we will be hosting individual Chapel services for each year group. This will provide an opportunity for each boy to experience a traditional Anglican Eucharist service. You can see a video by Reverend Nicholas Russell here explaining the service.
