It is great to be back! I would like to pass on my sincere thanks to all our community for all your support and well-wishes whilst I was away from the Preparatory School. Additionally, I would like to extend my thanks to Kim Morcom and Jay Pyefinch for all their help in my absence.
Recently, you would have received communication regarding the School carpark about drop off and pick up areas. Thank you for your understanding with this matter as we continue to monitor and ensure all our younger boys can depart campus each afternoon safely.
Yesterday our Preparatory School Orienteering Team represented the School at the Primary School Orienteering Championships which were held at Whiteman Park. Mrs Anthea Feaver prepared the boys for the event and guided them to an amazing performance across all age groups. Congratulations to Mrs Feaver and the team who placed equal first with St Brigid’s.
The 2022 ICAS competition is well underway with Digital Technologies, Writing and English completed so far. We are very proud of our Year 2 boys who are undertaking these assessments for the first time. Boys will sit Science and Spelling in Week 6 with Mathematics taking place in Week 7. Good luck to all boys participating in this year’s competition.
All Year 6 boys visited St Hilda’s Anglican School for Girls to see their production of Ali Baba and the Bongo Bandits. The boys enjoyed a wonderful performance from the girls showcasing their singing, dancing and acting skills. This was a terrific opportunity for our Year 6 boys to experience live theatre as they ready for the Year 6 production of Splash taking place in Week 10.
This week we celebrate all things science for National Science Week. Many of the boys have taken part in a range of sensory activities, quizzes and the library has been abuzz with budding young scientists all week.
Best wishes for the week ahead!
