- ‘What a Knight’ Year 6 production
- House Shout
- Music Assembly
The Year 6 students have been very busy through Term 3 rehearsing for the production of ‘What a Knight’. On Monday afternoon, the Year 5 cohort experienced the matinee performance ahead of the opening night performance. With three evening performances this week, the boys and Mr Dawson are to be commended for their efforts in putting together another successful production. Congratulations to all involved.
To conclude the arts events for the term, the highly anticipated House Shout takes place on Thursday afternoon in the Chapel. All Houses have been learning the vocal parts and accompanying choreography for selected ABBA songs. ‘Money, Money, Money’, ‘Mamma Mia’, ‘Waterloo’ and ‘Dancing Queen’ will be performed with gusto by our houses, accompanied by the staff band. All parents are welcome to attend, and we wish the students all the best for their performances.
Our final assembly for Term 3 is our Music Assembly, which will showcase many musical performances by the boys. We will also be presenting music badges to those students who have performed in two or more ensembles for a minimum of three terms. There are approximately 90 boys who will be acknowledged, and we value their contribution to the Preparatory music program.
Term 4 concludes tomorrow with early finishing times for all Preparatory School boys. Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and Pre-Primary conclude at 12.00pm, Year 1 finish at 12.10pm, Year 2 to 3 at 12.20pm and boys in Years 4 to 6 at 12.30pm.
I would like to extend my thanks to all staff and boys for their efforts in making Term 3 so successful, and I wish all members of our community a restful and enjoyable break. I look forward to seeing all boys back at School on Tuesday 13 October.
