- Year 6 Kooringal visit
Welcome back to all our families for our final term of the year – Term 4. It was great to see the boys return with energy and excitement. I am looking forward to what will be another exciting and rewarding term. A reminder that our Orientation Day is scheduled for Friday 15 November. More information about this day will follow in the coming weeks.
As we approach the end of the school year, I want to take this opportunity to discuss the importance of building resilience in preparation for your son’s transition to a new year level. Moving up a year level is both exciting and challenging, and helping children develop resilience is key to ensuring they embrace change with confidence.
Resilience allows children to navigate new experiences, adapt to different environments, and overcome challenges with a positive mindset. As they move into a new class with new expectations, friends, and teachers, your support in fostering resilience will help them view this transition as an opportunity for growth. Encourage your son to talk about his feelings, acknowledge any anxieties, and focus on the positive aspects of change—such as new learning opportunities and making new friends. Helping them build self-confidence and problem-solving skills will empower them to manage setbacks and adjust more easily. Together, we can help our students approach the new year level with courage, optimism, and the resilience they need to thrive.
All Year 6 boys will be attending their Kooringal (Dwellingup) camps during the first two weeks of the term. This is an exciting camp experience that involves hiking, paddling, orienteering, sleeping in tents and cooking meals on camp cookers. It is a wonderful opportunity for the boys to connect with the natural environment and work collaboratively to better appreciate their surroundings. We wish all boys and staff the best for this rewarding experience.
A reminder all Co-curricular Activities including Sport training, commence in Week 2.
