Being an open entry school is one of our great strengths. It ensures the School has a diverse community which we know has great benefits for all. It brings to the School boys with a range of talents, and having seen a number of cohorts complete their time in the School, after knowing them as Prep boys, it is a privilege to see them grow and achieve. The multitude of talents, skills and passions, together with the opportunity our school provides, is truly exceptional.

This year, we have a particular focus on the Centre for Excellence. The Centre for Excellence is focused on supporting, challenging and extending of boys with gifts and talents. We have had Western Australia’s foremost expert in this area, Kylie Bice, as an expert visitor to the Centre for Excellence. She has been working with all our staff to enhance the way we engage our gifted and talented learners. This discussion and review has involved all areas of the curriculum, therefore not only Mathematics, English and core academic lessons, but also our broad specialist program.

We have organised an opportunity for parents to hear from Ms Bice about how we approach our gifted and talented learners and programs on Tuesday 9 May at 6.30pm in the Chapel. You can reserve your place at this evening via this booking link.

And finally, a reminder to all parents that parking in the bus bays along Queenslea Drive at school pickup and drop off times will result in a fine by Claremont Council due to the traffic congestion this causes.
