During the holidays Jamie Fagan, a teacher in the School for over 40 years, decided to retire. Mr Fagan has been such an important part of our community. He supported many thousands of boys, staff and parents during his time in the Prep School. Old boys and Senior School boys will often seek him out for support and advice. Christ Church will miss Jamie, a very significant member of our staff. We are planning to farewell Mr Fagan in a fitting manner and I will inform the community of the plans when they come to fruition.

One of the many duties Mr Fagan completed for the School was managing the Prep School lost property. Mrs Miller and I have moved the lost property to the PMC where the boys and staff will manage it for the benefit of the Prep boys. However, when Mrs Miller and I collected the various pieces of school uniform we found a significant amount that were un-named. On that note, I would like to request that parents/guardians name/re-name their son’s uniform. Names often fade with time and washing so please re-name items on a regular basis.

I would like to reinforce that the parent portal is not only a resource to access your son’s reports, but also one to organise a meeting with your son’s teachers. These interviews are not compulsory, but are available if you would like to meet with teaching staff and discuss your son’s progress.

On the morning of Wednesday 26 July and 2 August a tour of the Senior School campus is available for our Year 6 boys and their parents. These tours will allow boys and parents to experience the Senior School campus together and become familiar with the facilities and layout of the campus. To book please click here.
