Before the long weekend, our da Vinci Decathalon team, coached by Miss Thornton, competed at the Inter-school competition and represented the School with creativity and intelligence. The boys enjoyed the experience and learned a great deal from it. This week began with the annual Readers’ Cup Competition and the IPSHA Chess Day. Our boys placed second in each competition, missing first in the Readers’ Cup by half a point. My thanks to Kate Marshall, Ryan Carson and Rachael Durston for coaching these teams.

Yesterday we celebrated the Book Week Parade and assembly and the boys enjoyed the annual staff play. My thanks to Mr Dawson for writing the play and to the Library staff for engaging the School so fully in Book Week activities. Certainly, an eventful week to welcome our CIS visitors.

Now that our lost property is being managed by the PMC, we have noticed that we have been swamped with unnamed pieces of uniform. I again ask that all pieces of uniform are named, and renamed, as if they are lost and found – they will be returned.
