This Saturday, I am sure there will be many enthusiastic school supporters going to Champion Lakes where they will cheer loudly to support all school rowing crews. The hard working rowers who have endured the early morning starts and a rigorous training program will be racing to win the Hamer Cup and bring back another PSA title, the coveted Head of the River trophy for the First VIII. Having experienced a number of crew changes and difficult conditions in the lead up races, they are hitting their peak at the right time and can be very proud of their efforts this season. For those that cannot make Saturday’s event, a live stream will be available at http://4style.com.au/live. Good luck to all crews.

On Monday, Year 12 boys and their parents have an opportunity to discuss their progress with teachers. After seven weeks of learning and several assessments, this is an important junction to see that effective work habits have been established and that all commitments are appropriately balanced. Please note that the five-minute bell is used to ensure that all parties can maintain their appointment schedules throughout the evening.

Our Music Department is hosting a fantastic community event at the Chapel Forecourt next Friday, Music to the Fore. This picnic event (free to attend) will provide a glimpse into the realm of music at Christ Church and I encourage all parents to attend, particularly if your son has an interest in taking up an instrument. Live performances will include CCGS ensembles and soloists such as Jazz Combo, Rock Workshop bands, contemporary soloists and Prep superstars. Tickets can be arranged online, here.
