The Year 12 Father/Friend and Son Breakfast took place at Frasers Restaurant prior to the end of Term 2, drawing together over 300 fathers and sons for a very special occasion.

Organised and hosted by Christ Church Grammar School’s Parents’ Association, guest speaker Jonathan Doyle spoke on the importance of the father/son relationship and most importantly, always being there for each other.

“Though you may not believe this, God chose you, specifically, to be a father to your son. He knew that despite all your human limitations you were still the best man for the job. Have confidence. Back yourself. You were meant to be doing this”, said Jonathan at the breakfast.

“While your son may not tell you today (though I hope he does), the truth is he desperately needs you.” These were among several key messages that Jonathan shared throughout the morning.

Community Groups Co-ordinator Christy Dangerfield commented “The breakfast was a great success and to have over 300 fathers and sons in one venue is simply quite unique. I wish to thank the Parents’ Association and volunteers who enabled this event to happen.”
