Later this month each of our Senior School Houses will battle it out on stage in the 2018 House Shout.

The Beatty Cup competition involves judges allocating points based on song performances for each House.

This year’s song selections are:

  • Moyes – Riptide by Vance Joy
  • Queenslea – Wonderwall by Oasis
  • Noake – My Happiness by Powderfinger
  • Jupp – Somebody Told Me by The Killers
  • Wolsey – Are You Gonna Be My Girl by Jet
  • Craigie – I Will Wait by Mumford and Sons
  • Romsey – Mr Brightside by The Killers
  • Hill – Teenage Dirtbag by Wheatus

“The Beatty Cup heats up in the final week of term with all Houses striving to survive in the competition. The House Shout is a fantastic opportunity for all boys to get involved and ‘belt out’ their best version of the song their House has been allocated,” says Director of Planning and Co-Curricular, Mr Mark Morrissy.

“All songs have been chosen by our Senior Music students, with a little guidance from the Music Department who will support the Houses in their rehearsals over the next three weeks.”

The judges for this year’s competition, which takes place on Thursday 28 June, will be Co-ordinator of Prep Music, Eboney Yapp and Year 2 Teacher, Stephanie Balfour.
