Our incoming boarders have plenty of great reasons to look forward to next year, following a recent opportunity to experience all that the Christ Church boarding experience has to offer.

As part of Orientation Day activities, the boys entering Years 7 and 8 enjoyed plenty of social activities including playing pool, table tennis, table soccer, basketball, cricket, swimming in the school pool, trampolining, spending time with their soon to be Year 7 buddies, before culminating with an overnight stay in Knutsford Boarding House.

Parents of the boys were also provided a welcome morning tea, tour of the school campus and boarding facilities, lunch with other existing parents, and an opportunity to meet with members of the boarding community and ask questions.

“It was a great chance to meet the boys plus their parents and give them exposure to what they can expect as boarders from 2019 onwards,” says Director of Walters Residential Community, Brad Downing.

“Boys and their families joined us from Busselton, Lake Grace, Williams, Kojonup, Boddington, Cunderdin, Morawa, Dirk Hartog Island, Karratha and Hong Kong.”

“Our Year 7 buddies did a fantastic job, delivering a warm welcome in the form of a video and were available throughout orientation activities to complement the incoming boys’ overall experience.”

“The buddies will continue to support them when they return and we look forward to welcoming them back to our diverse boarding community in 2019.”
