Orientation Day welcomes our 2026 students
Published on: 27 November 2025
Last week, Christ Church welcomed incoming students and their families to Orientation Day. The event offered an exciting introduction to life at the School and provided new students with the opportunity to meet one another, explore the campus, and begin forming connections ahead of the 2026 academic year.
In the Preparatory School, boys dived into ‘get to know you’ games, team-building activities, and a Chapel service with Reverend Russell. They also sampled specialist lessons ranging from Physical Education and Innovation to Music, Drama, and Dance.
In the Senior School, 100 new students joined the current Year 6 cohort for a taste of Year 7. While parents attended an information session in the Chapel and a morning tea hosted by the Parents’ Association, students met their House groups, toured the campus and took part in physical education activities.
The New Boarders’ Sleepover also took place on Friday, building on our year-long On Board program. Designed to ease Year 6 students’ nerves as they transition to boarding, the program helps them form bonds with peers and staff. Students enjoyed a swim in our Aquatic Precinct, a BBQ, a trip to Bounce, and a sleepover at Walters Boarding House, strengthening connections with their future housemates.
