Six Preparatory students recently represented the School in an Interschool Spelling Bee competition at Guildford Grammar School.

Kai Mahalangham and Edward Hadi represented the School in the Year 4 division, while Avicknash Dayanandan (Year 5), Tom Edibam (Year 5), Henry Davies (Year 6) and Max Guit (Year 6) competed strongly in their respective divisions.

Kai and Edward were the last two students standing in the Year 4 division and it was neck and neck until Kai succeeded in spelling the final two words correctly.

“We are very proud of how the boys represented the School and the manner in which they competed,” said Brad Hilliard, Director of Studies (Deputy Head) of the Preparatory School.

“Congratulations to everyone involved leading up to this event, as well as the boys that competed on the day. A special mention to Kai who came away with the winning shield.”
