Our Term 1 Captains and Monitors in the Preparatory School were recently announced and presented with their badges as they step up to their new responsibilities.

Head of Preparatory School, Dr Steven Males congratulated the boys during assembly for their courage and taking on greater responsibility.

The following boys take the reins as positive role models for their peers as House Captains:

Karda House – Harry Billingham (6JM) and Aidan Lim (6SM)
Wardung House – Soren Grubb (6JS) and William Lewis (6JS)
Kearla House – Nicholas Tien (6HP) and Lucas Viiala (6JM)
Yonga House – Luke Beament (6SM) and Ivan Zorotovic (6SM)

Also supporting this group are a total 65 Monitors and 32 additional Captains.

“All boys in Year 6 can nominate to be a House Captain where nominations are voted on by the Year 6 cohort and two Captains from each House are elected for the term,” says Mrs Troy Higginbottom, Acting Director of Pastoral Care, Planning and Co-Curricular (Deputy Head).

“Our specialist areas on the other hand appoint Monitors to assist with the everyday running of the learning area.”

“Boys wanting to become a Monitor are encouraged to speak with our specialist teachers on how they can improve their chances of being appointed.”

Michael de Sousa (6SM) was elected as this term’s Preparatory School Captain.
