The Preparatory School’s House Swimming Carnivals were held over two days with the Years 3 and 4 cohorts swimming on Tuesday and the Years 5 and 6 cohorts on Wednesday.

This year, it was Forrest House who proved triumphant after the two days of friendly competition, regaining the Champion House title from last year’s winners Giles. The final results were Forrest (888 points), Giles (839), Dale (709) and Stirling (664).

Sportsmaster Brady Leckie said there was some great swimming over the two days and he was very happy with all the boys’ efforts. Stirling House demonstrated terrific sportsmanship and spirit, and as a result collected the 2015 Spirit Shield.

Mr Leckie made particular mention of Year 6 Kai Wylie’s performance. “Not only did Kai dominate each event winning all four strokes, he also set a new Prep School record in the Year 6 50m Freestyle of 30.2secs (previously 30.96secs). At that rate, Kai is on track to break the JPSSA record this year.”

Selected boys will go on to compete in the JPSSA Swimming Carnival on Thursday 5 March.

Year level champions and runners-up were announced at Friday’s assembly. They included:

  Champion Boy Runner-up
Year 3 Emerson McNeilly Jack Herczykowski
