The Pre-Primary to Year 2 boys took part in their swimming carnival on Wednesday – the culmination of an intensive Kirby Swim program over the past three weeks.

The boys swam in three different races including freestyle, backstroke and torpedo, finishing with a non-compulsory butterfly race for the Year 2 boys. They were assisted by a group of Year 6 boys who did a great job at making them feel comfortable in the water and cheering them on as they swam.

Pre-Primary to Year 3 Physical Education Teacher Kim Malajczuk said the swimming carnival allowed the boys to show their parents, teachers and themselves, how much progress they had made in the pool after three weeks of swimming lessons.

“The boys had a fantastic morning swimming in their races, beaming to their parents and friends and cheering each other to the finish,” said Mrs Malajczuk.
