This week the Preparatory School has been celebrating its Week of the Arts as part of the annual Springtime Celebration, with a variety of exciting activities scheduled throughout this week.

The week commenced with the Year 6 boys’ musical production of Splash!, which sold out, and our Year 6 musicians performing a Class Concert for their year group.

Class Concerts have been taking place throughout the week with the Pre-Primary musicians performing this morning.

On Monday and Tuesday our Early Learning community boys worked on their scarecrow, which they will enter into the ‘Across the Seasons Scarecrow Competition’ at the Perth Royal Show. This creative and fun competition is aimed at engaging young people and schools in drawing awareness towards where food comes from and how the four seasons influences the variety and diversity of plants and animals. The aim of this year’s Scarecrow Competition is the celebrate and highlight the types of foods produced from each season – summer, autumn, winter and spring.

The Week of the Arts culminates on Friday morning with the very popular House Shout performances. This year’s theme is One Hit Wonders, which promises to deliver some very entertaining moments.

These events are a wonderful opportunity to proudly showcase the incredible teaching and learning that the boys experience here at Christ Church and celebrate all of our boys’ achievements.44
