After being crowned state champions earlier this year, our Year 7 and Year 10 da Vinci Decathlon teams travelled to Sydney to compete in the 2026 National da Vinci Decathlon against the top school teams from across Australia.

The prestigious competition challenges students across ten disciplines, including Engineering, Mathematics, Code Breaking, Art and Poetry, Science, English, Ideation, Creative Producers, Cartography and Legacy.

Both Christ Church teams achieved excellent results.

The Year 7 team finished equal fifth overall, taking out first place in Creative Producers, second in Ideation and third in Legacy.

Our Year 10 team placed third overall and recorded six runner-up finishes across Art and Poetry, Creative Producers, English, Science, Ideation and Legacy.

Congratulations to all of the students on an outstanding achievement. Competing at a national level against some of Australia’s strongest academic teams is no small feat, and these results are a testament to the students’ teamwork and problem-solving skills.
