Year 10 students embrace opportunity with Beyond Queenslea Drive exchange
Published on: 12 June 2025
Beyond Queenslea Drive (BQD) program offers Year 10 students a unique opportunity to take part in an international exchange that promotes personal development, cultural understanding, and global awareness.
Through the program, Christ Church students are paired with peers from partner schools overseas. They live with host families and fully immerse themselves in the daily life and learning environment of their exchange school. Exchange durations range from four to ten weeks, offering a deep and meaningful cultural experience.
Currently, there are fourteen Year 10 Christ Church students on exchange at schools in South Africa, Japan, United Kingdom and China.
In Term 1, Henry Raston and Darcy Lester travelled to St Jean à La Croix in France, where they embraced French life both in and outside the classroom. Now in Term 2, their exchange partners Basile and Victor have arrived in Perth and are fully immersed in life at Christ Church.
The BQD program continues to be a standout element of the Christ Church experience, broadening students’ horizons and equipping them with the confidence and adaptability to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.
