Bradley Hope (Year 10) is looking forward to a strong season of cricket, after being named in the Australian under-17 cricket team that will participate in the national under-19 championships later this year.

Bradley was chosen for the Australian team following his efforts in the State under-17 team, during which he played with Christ Church teammate Alex Trimboli (Year 11).

Earlier this year, Bradley was awarded the Cramer Cup for best all-rounder, the Hill Cup for best fieldsman and the OBA Batting Trophy for the best average.

“I enjoy playing cricket at Christ Church as the coaches let the players have a say,” Bradley said.

“It’s great being able to play with my mates and I’m looking forward to the Darlot Cup this year as we have a strong team and a good chance of winning.”

Christ Church’s Director of Cricket, Mickey Arthur described Bradley as an all-rounder, with the ability to both bat and bowl.

“Bradley is an extremely dedicated, talented and hard-working cricket player with a great work ethic,” he said.

Christ Church has a proud tradition of playing cricket and has finished among the top three schools in the Darlot Cup competition in past years.

Christ Church’s Director of Cricket is Mickey Arthur, the acclaimed former international cricketer and the former coach of the Australian and South African national cricket teams.
