It was a rewarding day for many Christ Church boys on Thursday as their musical, artistic, intellectual and sporting talents were recognised at the Headmaster’s Assembly.

Service, Colours and Honours for the season were acknowledged, as well as new recipients of Honour Blazers.

Winners of the 2015 winter sports season’s cups and trophies were as follows:

Liam Tien (Year 10), Geremy Fatouros (Year 12), Sam Gurney (Year 12) and Lachie Yeo (Year 12) had the honour of presenting trophies to Headmaster Garth Wynne, following their success in Chess, Soccer and Surfing.

Romsey House was recognised for their achievement in the Performing Arts category of the House Competition and Hill House congratulated for winning the Team Sports, Arts and Athletics categories, making them champions of the Beatty Cup House Competition for 2015.

As with all assemblies, the boys had the great pleasure of listening to one of the School’s very talented musicians. Sam Bougher (Year 12) performed a beautiful rendition of Chelsea Hotel by Leonard Cohen, with backing from percussionist Brendan Lim (Year 12).
