Romsey House claimed victory at the Senior School House Swimming Carnival held at HBF Stadium on Tuesday night.

With 779.5 points, Romsey won the Lapinski-McCoubrie Cup ahead of last year’s winner Moyes (717.5), followed by Noake (662), Craigie (660.5), Wolsey (640), Jupp (625), Hill (531.5) and Queenslea (512).

Year 7 student, Kai Wylie broke the School’s Under 13 50m Freestyle record, which has stood since 1987. Kai swam the distance in 27.85 seconds.

Year 11 student, Jonte Blake set new school records in the Under 17 50m Freestyle (24.76), the Under 17 100m Freestyle (56.07) and the Under 17 50m Breaststroke (32.62).

Year 11 student Ben Cunningham set a new school record in the Under 17 100m Breaststroke (1:16.10) and Wolsey House set the record for the Under 17 4x50m Freestyle relay (1:53.17).

The next competition for the swimming squad is the Quadrangular swim meet, Tuesday 1 March, 6.00pm at HBF Stadium, where the boys will take on Scotch, Wesley and Trinity.
