Over 70 of our boarders were excited to return to campus this week following the state-wide closure to boarding amid the COVID-19 crisis.

Their return comes after national cabinet declared boarding schools and school-based residential colleges safe to reopen in a recent announcement.

Director of the Residential Community, Brad Downing said, “It’s been so wonderful to have all the boys back to together again and back to their usual daily routines.”

“For the past few weeks we have had boys back on their farms or in their local towns, overseas, and we’ve had other boys stay locally with hosts or guardians too.”

“While we still have some boarders  overseas, we remain positive that they’ll be back with us soon.”

Captain of Boarding, Jackson Dring had the pleasure of sharing the exciting news with fellow boarders last week in a short video which can be watched here.

Recommendations by The Australian Health Protection Principal Committee (AHPPC) on risk management for re-opening of boarding houses are currently being implemented by the School.
