SchoolTV
I am pleased to announce and support The Wynne Centre for Boys’ Health and Wellbeing new ongoing resource that is now available to all Christ Church parents – SchoolTV.
Due to the various complexities we are all currently facing it’s never been more important for schools and parents to raise happy, healthy and resilient children. Like never before, parents need to be informed with clear, fact-based information on the many challenges faced as we embrace an ever-changing world.
SchoolTV will cover topics that support the health and wellbeing of our community and include information such as positive psychology, anxiety, mental health, drugs and alcohol, cyberbullying, relationships, and many others which will include clear explanations and guidance from experts in the field.
Each link provided will address a major topic with expert interviews, fact sheets, parent quiz, recommended apps, books and much more. SchoolTV aggregates information from many great resources such as BeyondBlue and ReachOut, among others. It provides a single stream of independent factual information that saves parents time and confusion when searching online for information and complements the blogs featured on our Building Good Men Hub.
You can access the SchoolTV archive at ccgs.wa.schooltv.me/category-latest-newsletter. Articles will be featured under The Wynne Centre for Boys’ Health and Wellbeing Parent resources and can be accessed and revisited at any time.
Here are three articles you may enjoy reading at this time:

- Resilience – ccgs.wa.schooltv.me/newsletter/resilience
- Happiness and Gratitude – ccgs.wa.schooltv.me/newsletter/happiness-gratitude
The week that’s been
I would like to thank all students and parents for adhering to our social and physical distancing requirements in the Senior School, particularly with the challenges posed by wet weather.
When we commenced Term 2, we communicated the approach for the first two weeks. Things have continued to evolve and you’ll find information related to Week 3 here.
Last night we welcomed back our boarders in Years 10 to 12, with the remaining students able to return this weekend. Boarders are a very special part of our community and we are delighted to have them back. Many procedures have been put in place including increased cleaning regimes and spacing to facilitate a safe environment for our boarding community.
Congratulations to Oscar Lorbeer who won the student trick shot competition ‘The Domino Effect’ run by our PE Department over the school holidays. Thank you to all boys who entered into this exciting competition.
