- MMG Education survey
Last weekend saw the final games for the winter sports season played against Scotch. The boys have done incredibly well this season and although the 8A Football team went down to Scotch College in their final game, this team finished the season with nine wins and one loss, providing hope for Christ Church Football in the future. Congratulations to our First XI Hockey team who had only one loss the entire season and last Saturday took home the Ray House Cup beating Scotch 6 to 2. This weekend our fingers are crossed for the Cross Country (XC) team who, with one more race to go, look as though they may secure the Moyes Trophy, and our first XC win since 1997. It will be a great event at Kings Park, and will commence at 9.30am for all who can make it to cheer the boys on.
It has been a particularly busy period for the Midnite Youth Theatre Company with the recent production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Congratulations to everyone involved, a musical of this calibre takes a lot of hard work and the production was truly wonderful.
For the remainder of the week and over the weekend I will be attending the Anglican Schools Australia Conference in Brisbane themed ‘Joy’. This year the conference brings together all of the spiritual leaders of our Anglican Schools and also has a focus on school leadership. I am looking forward to catching up with Nicholas Russell who currently works in NSW and starts next year as our new Chaplain. It is always rewarding to participate in this forum, to hear from different experts and learn from one another.
As part of the School’s commitment to ongoing excellence across all our programs, we annually evaluate our current performance against levels of satisfaction from within the community. The survey is conducted by MMG Education, and each year we survey Years 3, 6, 9 and 12 parents, and Years 6, 9 and 12 students. We have partnered with MMG since 2012 and we are able to gather trend data and benchmark against comparable schools across Australia. The survey provides us with a real opportunity to gain feedback on areas requiring improvement, and all surveys are confidential, ensuring responses cannot be identified with any individual. Parents of Years 3, 6, 9 and 12 boys, please look out for your e-mail from MMG in the coming weeks. The survey will take approximately 35 minutes, and I thank you in advance for making time to provide your feedback. Once the research has been completed, MMG provide the School with a report on the findings and we will provide you with feedback on the research findings via our e-newsletter. If you have any questions regarding the project, please contact Murray Robertson, our Director of Staffing and Strategic Projects, at mrobertson@ccgs.wa.edu.au.
