Our Year 4 boys had their very first experience of Kooringal at the end of March as part of the School’s comprehensive outdoor education program. This was a special opportunity for the boys to orientate themselves with the School’s outdoor education facilities that they will be accessing over the next five years of their schooling.

The focus for the day was team building skills. The boys were split into three groups and rotated across three activities facilitated by Kooringal and school staff.

Activities held throughout the day included an introductory tour of Kooringal, a nature hunt where the boys got to explore the bush and find and draw pieces of nature, and a swim in the all-time favourite, Scarp Pool.

Year 4 teacher Jay Pyefinch said “It is a tremendous opportunity for the boys to be exposed to the outdoor education facilities over the next five years. They loved it!”
