In the first three terms of Year 10, Christ Church offers students the opportunity to be immersed in school environments in other parts of the world. The main objective of our exchange program, known as Beyond Queenslea Drive, is to provide an international experience for our students. As well as gaining friends overseas, the boys grow personally and develop a deeper international awareness.

Due to travel restrictions, the BQD program was put on hold during the COVID-19 pandemic but has been reignited this year. Four Christ Church boys travelled to France earlier this year to study at St John et La Croix in  Saint-Quentin. The School is currently hosting the four returning French exchange students, who are here until late June. So far this year, almost 20 Christ Church boys have gone overseas for the BQD program to study at our partner schools in France, Japan, South Africa, UK and USA. In Term 3, we will welcome students from Tonbridge School and Brighton College in the UK, and Hotoku Gakuen in Japan.

“Everyone has been very nice to me. I have met a couple of brave students who spoke French with me (they were all great, students in France rarely have such level in English).” – Jean Benicourt, current French exchange student

“My exchange to France was one of the best times in my life. During the eight weeks, I learned so much, my knowledge and speaking of the French language improved, and I am now confident in completing French for ATAR. ” – George Moore, Year 10 Christ Church student
