Our Pre-Primary boys have had plenty to celebrate lately and one particular milestone to proudly reflect on – their 100 days of school.

The big countdown commenced from day one this year and since that time the boys have engaged in a number of interesting activities with ‘100’ being a common theme.

“This major milestone celebrates all the hard work the boys have put in over the last 100 days,” says Pre-Primary Teacher, Letitia Simon.

“Leading up to the 100th day, we had a number chart which saw one boy turn over a card each day to reveal how many days we had been at school.”

“On the week of the 100th day, the boys created 10 trail mix packs consisting of 10 treats. They also wrote fictional narratives about being 100 and accompanied their writing with artwork and iPad images that depicted what they would look like at age 100.”

“The boys made necklaces using 100 fruit loops, cupcakes that read 100, estimated what 100 drops of water would look like and built structures out of 100 cups. They also got given a box of Smarties that read ‘100 Days Smarter.’

The counting continues from here as our Pre-Primary boys record their daily count on the class whiteboard and focus on the number 100 during weekly Maths Groups.
