Community residents of Regis Aged Care in Nedlands enjoyed spectacular vocals last week, thanks to the Yahoos Choir who performed at the facilities’ grand opening.

Performing from the roof top as guests enjoyed canapes and cocktails, the choir presented three items – a welcome song from Ghana entitled Due DueJoshua Fought the Battle of Jericho, a gospel piece, and Sesere Eeye, a traditional song from the Torres Strait Islands accompanied by Mr Christopher Draber.

“The boys performed beautifully and were fantastic representatives of Christ Church Grammar School,” says Co-ordinator of Preparatory Music, Mrs Eboney Yapp.

“Guests and staff at Regis complimented the boys not only on their beautiful singing, but on how well-mannered they were in their interactions with members of their community.”

The Yahoos Choir is an auditioned choir in the Preparatory School consisting of 25 boys from Years 4 to 6. Further information on the Yahoos Choir can be found, here.
