As Father’s Day approaches, our school community is excited to recognise and celebrate the vital role that fathers and father figures play in the lives of our students.

Yesterday morning, our Year 6 students and their fathers gathered in the Refectory for a special breakfast. This meaningful event provided a chance to connect, share quality time, and reflect on the unique bond between fathers and their children as they prepare for the transition to Senior School.

A highlight of the morning was a powerful address by Brad Gardner, Director of The Wynne Centre for Health and Wellbeing. He offered practical advice on how families can support their sons through this significant stage. His key messages encouraged students and parents to start preparing early, stay organised, embrace new experiences, seek help when needed, and build strong, positive habits.

This morning, our Kindergarten classrooms buzzed with excitement as our youngest students warmly welcomed their dads for a special breakfast. Each class prepared unique gifts, and dads were treated to fun activity stations, including paper plane making, a shaving station, and relaxing shoulder massages. The boys also baked muffins and served tea, coffee, and croissants, making sure their dads felt loved and appreciated.

We asked the boys what makes their dads special, and their responses were as sweet as the morning itself:

“My Dad is special because he’s my best friend.”
“My Dad is special because he’s a muscle man!”
“My Dad is special because he loves me.” – the most popular response!
