Year 4 students Rites of Passage – Little Queenslea Drive
Published on: 26 February 2026
The first two Year 4 classes have participated in the Little Queenslea Drive (LQD) experience, an overnight program designed to develop teamwork, resilience, confidence, and decision-making. LQD is the first stage of the School’s Rites of Passage program, which continues in Year 9 with the On Queenslea Drive (OQD) program. Both programs support students as they navigate key stages of growing up, fostering responsibility, self-awareness, and positive choices.
During LQD, the boys participate in a variety of activities, including raft building at the river, innovation space challenges, team-building games, quiz night, and mindfulness activities by the river. These hands-on experiences give the students the chance to collaborate, solve problems, and support one another, helping them grow both as individuals and as part of a team.
Through this program, our Year 4 students are taking their first important steps in a journey of learning, leadership, and character development at Christ Church. We look forward to welcoming the remaining two Year 4 classes to the LQD experience next week.
