On 11 June, an evening of conversation was held regarding the security of iPads and how they are used in the learning journey at CCGS.

Attending parents conversed with a panel of School representatives from several areas including Information, Communication and Technology, Psychology and representatives from the Senior and Prep School.

There was robust discussion about:

  • The use of iPads in the classroom and at home to complete homework
  • Tactics parents can employ to manage the use of iPads in the home
  • Increased communication for parents regarding all aspects of iPad usage.

A demonstration of the iPad’s use in learning across the School was delivered by ICT Learning Facilitator, Daniel Budd and at the conclusion of the evening parents were shown the Intranet and in particular the academic space, which provides access to the curriculum, past exam papers and other resources.

In response to the evening additional information will be developed and made available online for parents. A communication will be sent to the Christ Church community when this information is available.
