Our School and House Prefects for 2018 were formally inducted at Senior School Assembly last week, revealing a line-up of boys with a determination to lead by example.

Matthew Tissiman (Year 11) was announced as the 2018 Captain of School and Marc Boyatzis (Year 11) as Vice Captain.

The occasion provided a fantastic opportunity for the new Prefects to be acknowledged in front of peers as each delivered a personal address before signing the School Prefects book as part of the induction proceedings.

“I am honoured and grateful that the Christ Church community has put their trust in me to be Captain of School for the coming year. It is exciting and humbling to be following the inspiring student leaders who have served ahead of me, such as Ollie Henderson in 2017,” says Matthew Tissiman.

“I look forward to making a positive contribution, giving back to Christ Church and working with the student leadership team. Also, being a leader who can communicate and engage with boys of all ages and interests, to help motivate and support them on their journey through Christ Church.”

Principal Alan Jones congratulated the newly appointed leaders during induction and commented that “Leadership is more than holding an office or having a badge. It is about earning the respect of your community and focusing on a well communicated common goal. Leadership is an important part of your all-round education at Christ Church because one day you will all be leaders.”
