On Sunday, our talented Rock Workshop students took to the stage for our annual Rock Extravaganza concert. Family, friends, and staff came down to the Chapel Forecourt on what was a glorious spring day to enjoy the students’ electrifying performances.

Rock Extravaganza is a favourite event for our students and school community alike. Guests can bring a picnic and chairs, enjoy pizza from a food truck on site – courtesy of Friends of Music – and soak up the afternoon sunshine while they cheer on the musicians. The laid back atmosphere is the perfect setting for students to let loose, have fun, and embrace a ‘rock n roll’ attitude to bring to their performances.

The set list for the day included hits such as ‘Bohemian Like You’ by the Dandy Warhols, ‘Blitzkrieg Bop’ by The Ramones, ‘Mardy Bum’ by Arctic Monkeys, ‘About A Girl’ by Nirvana, and ‘Eagle Rock’ by Daddy Cool. Year 11 Vocal Scholar Cy Lendich also performed a new single he has been working on, titled ‘Matter of Time’. Keep an eye on our social media as we share videos of the performances in the coming weeks.

Congratulations to all performers, the Music Department, and Friends of Music on a wonderful event!
