CCGS World Edition
Head of Prep School
Published on: 1 February 2018
What a wonderful start we have had in the Preparatory School. The boys have commenced the year with the vigour, enthusiasm and energy we would expect!
On Monday, I spoke to the boys about their mindsets and goal setting. The power of a positive and growth mindset and the importance of goal setting using the SMART goals framework in their diary. You may want to follow up conversations they have also had with their teachers.
Thank you to all the parents who invested time in their son’s learning by attending the parent information evening on Wednesday. Principal Alan Jones outlined the strategic goals and achievements of the boys and school, and discussed the exciting year the School has going forward.
Logistically I asked parents to refer to the Prep School Handbook and diary as the first reference point for any questions. The handbook answers many questions relating to absentees, bullying, friendship lists, homework, parent concerns, specialist programs and Vertical House Groups, with much in between!
I would also remind the community that all parents have a name badge that must be worn when on campus for functions or meetings. If you have misplaced your name badge, replacements can be ordered at https://www.trybooking.com/ONHX (or refer to year group notices). Also, and as you’ve done today, ensure you read CCGS World and year level notices.
Thank you for your engagement and commitment to the School and we look forward to all that 2018 has on offer!
